Trig is a beta social network. Beautifully designed. A ton of features, still checking it out. I’m currently infatuated.

Just a quick link for a Hulu invite, courtesy of Wired. When that link expires, here’s another and one going fast and wait – this one too. (Sorry, all of these links have expired as of 2/19/08).
Hulu is flash based online TV – with full episodes of some of my favorite shows on television now, including: The Office, Heroes, Arrested Development, and Family Guy – and tons of other shows no longer on the air such as I dream of Jeannie, Lost in Space, even Doogie Howser – and a variety of selected clips of user’s favorites.

Have a phone number you’d like to keep private, but you need someone to contact you? This would be the perfect service (think posting on craigslist, personal ads, ebay…); or if you have expensive long distance calls to make, this service could save you money by offering a local phone number to use – though you’d still be using your cell phone airtime.
Appears to be totally free while still in beta (no invite needed). Sign up with your email address (that could be shared) and a phone number (will remain confidential) and add your email contacts.
You can post a link online with your email address…an example their site offers is http://callme.jangl.com/crazy@britneyspears.com …and then – as they explain:
”They just click your link to get a phone number to call you, without ever knowing your real number. They can leave you voice messages that we’ll send to your email. If you want to talk, you can get a number to call them back and forward their calls to your phone.”
Seems a tad complicated for everyday use, but will serve a great purpose for those who need it. Would be amazing if they struck a deal with another company for more integration, especially an email provider.
Update on 1/31/08 at 12:33pm: Jangl just made a deal to be used on the dating website ‘PlentyofFish’ via this TechCrunch article

Updated 2/6/08: Have a few more Xobni invite codes again! just comment or email and I’ll send you one.
with love, B.
For today only, use invite code: beta4040
From the website:
“…Control C is an automated solution that will monitor your clipboard and store the data for you so you can later share or retrieve for yourself contents copied to your clipboard that otherwise would have been lost forever. All content uploaded from your clipboard is encrypted to protect your data completely. You can optionally, however, unencrypt and permanantly store the data in your account, and share it with the world.”
Cool concept, very worried about security/privacy issues and accidently copying passwords and or credit card numbers.

Xobni - that’s Inbox backwards – is an Outlook plugin designed to turn your email into a social atmosphere.
Likes: This could be an interesting tool on my personal email. If they open this client to other providers like gmail, I might be willing to give it a second chance. I don’t see how it would improve my workflow as an outlook product. It did improve my search time, but not by much. I love the concept – understanding and correlating the relationships between contacts and turning email into a social environment – an outstanding philosophy which I hope is built upon and developed, but Xobni is not quite there. Fix the flaws, add more service integration and usability features (upload pictures to contact cards, mashup with an IM service perhaps), open it to other email clients, and then we’ll talk.
Flaws: It was not possible to have more than one email account open inside Outlook with Xobni installed. Not only crashed my email account, but also others connected on the same server. Often saved wrong contact information - for example if multiple phone numbers in an email it would pull only one. Could not add/change tasks from within the interface side pane. Load time awful. Color scheme not pretty.
